Cod and chips is the order that built this shop. Fish has been the heart of Ideal Fish & Chips on Birmingham Road since Terry Mouskos — a third-generation fish fryer — took over in 2008, and it’s still done the traditional way: a well-battered fillet, fried in Frymax vegetable oil until the batter turns deep gold and the fish inside stays white, flaky and steaming. Add chips made from Lincolnshire potatoes and that’s the full chippy tea, done right.
Order a Large Cod on the way home from work, a Mini Cod when you fancy something lighter, or eight pieces of scampi with tartare sauce for the sofa — everything comes out of a kitchen holding a 5-star Food Hygiene Rating. Collection is usually ready in 10–15 minutes, or have your fish and chips delivered across Bromsgrove, from Aston Fields to Catshill, for a £2 charge on orders of £13 or more.

Can I get fish and chips at lunchtime in Bromsgrove?
Yes — on Fridays and Saturdays we open for lunch from 12:00 (collection until 13:45, delivery until 13:30), then again from 16:30. Monday to Thursday we open at 16:30, and we're closed on Sundays.
