Stoke Prior lies south-east of Bromsgrove, out along the Hanbury Road, where the Worcester & Birmingham Canal comes through at Stoke Wharf and the locks step down towards Stoke Works. It's a proper village — the sort of place where the nearest chip shop is a decision rather than a stroll.
We're at 110 Birmingham Road, at the northern end of Bromsgrove, which makes Stoke Prior one of the further corners of our delivery area. We're not going to pretend it's round the corner. What we will say is that the food leaves the fryer the same as it does for anyone else: cod and haddock battered and fried to order, chips cut from Lincolnshire potatoes, out of a kitchen holding a 5-star Food Hygiene Rating.
Two honest bits of advice
One: check your postcode before you get your hopes up. Stoke Prior sits towards the outer edge of where we deliver, and the village straggles a fair distance between Stoke Heath, the wharf and Stoke Works. Put your postcode into the online checkout and it'll tell you immediately whether we reach you — or ring 01527 873228 and we'll say before you order rather than after.
Two: order in good time. Delivery takes around an hour, and it stops at 21:00 — half an hour before the shop itself closes. If it's edging towards nine o'clock and you're out at Stoke Prior, get the order in rather than leaving it.

Clearing £13 takes one supper: a Large Cod (£9.60) and Regular Chips (£4.50) is £14.10. Plenty of people out this way collect instead, and there's a decent case for it. Collection is usually ready in 10–15 minutes, there's no £2 charge and no minimum order, and if you're already heading into Bromsgrove — past Stoke Heath and Avoncroft, up through the town — we're straight on Birmingham Road with the shop front right on the main road.
