What these terms cover

These terms cover your use of this website — the pages, the menu listings and the photographs. They are not the terms on which we sell you food.

Orders are placed with the shop through Foodhub, the third-party ordering platform at idealfishandchips.co.uk/order-now, and are cooked and fulfilled by us at 110 Birmingham Road. When you place an order there you're also agreeing to Foodhub's terms, which are published on the ordering site itself. Prefer not to? Ring us on 01527 873228 and we'll take it over the phone.

If you use this website, you're accepting what's set out below. If you'd rather not, please don't use it.

Menu, prices and availability

We keep the menu on this site as accurate as we can and update it when things change. Even so, a few honest caveats:

• The price that counts is the one in the ordering system at the time you order. If a price here and a price at the checkout ever disagree, the checkout is right — that's what we're selling at.
• Things sell out. We fry to order and buy fresh, so now and again something listed here won't be available that evening. If it's the whole point of your order, ring first.
• The photographs are of our own food, cooked in our own shop — no stock pictures of somebody else's cod. But a fryer isn't a photo studio: portions, colour and presentation vary from one order to the next, and yours will look like a real chip-shop supper rather than a photograph of one.

Nothing on this website is a binding offer to sell. A contract is formed only when your order is accepted through the ordering system or over the phone.

Allergies and ingredients — please ring us

If you have a food allergy or intolerance, phone the shop on 01527 873228 before you order. Please don't rely on this website for that.

Ours is a working chip shop kitchen. Fryers, oil, utensils and preparation surfaces are shared between fish, meat, gluten-containing batter and everything else on the menu, so we cannot guarantee that any dish is free from a given allergen, however it's described on these pages. Ingredients and suppliers can change too.

A one-minute phone call gets you a straight answer from the people who'll actually be cooking it. That is always the safer route, and we're happy to have the conversation.

The site itself

Availability. This website is provided as it is. We do our best to keep it up, accurate and working on whatever you're reading it on, but we can't promise it will never be unavailable, never contain a mistake, or never be interrupted for maintenance or by something outside our control. The same applies to the ordering platform, which we don't run.

Our content. The words, photographs and design on this site belong to Ideal Fish & Chips or are used with permission. Link to us and we'll be glad of it. Please don't copy the text or lift the photographs for another business.

Other people's sites. We link out to places we don't control, including Foodhub, Google Maps, the App Store, Google Play and Facebook. A link isn't an endorsement of what's at the other end, and their terms apply once you're there.

The law. These terms, and any dispute arising from them, are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction.

Your statutory rights. Nothing on this page limits or removes the rights you have as a consumer under UK law, including your rights in relation to food that isn't of satisfactory quality, and nothing here excludes liability where the law doesn't allow it.
