After a day on the Lickeys
If you've spent the afternoon walking on Lickey Hills Country Park — up on Beacon Hill, or round through the woods — you will come off those hills genuinely hungry, in the way that only cold air and a long walk manage.
That's a fish and chip evening if ever there was one, and the timing works out: order on the way down and it's ready by the time you've got the boots off. Collection is usually 10–15 minutes; delivery is around an hour, so put it in before you set off home rather than after.
A Large Cod is £9.60, a Large Haddock the same, and chips are cut from Lincolnshire potatoes and fried in Frymax vegetable oil. If it's been that sort of walk, a pot of gravy or curry sauce at £1.00 is not a luxury.

Before you order
We're closed all day Sunday, and Monday to Thursday the fryers don't go on until 16:30. Fridays and Saturdays we're also open from midday — the one to remember if you're heading out to the hills for the morning and want feeding on the way back.
